A bottle. High 15 cm. Wide 6,5 cm. Deep 5,5 cm. Opaline glass with cold enamel painting showing flowers and a heart flanked by two pigeons. In mint condition, no damages or loss of paint. On the bottom a clear pontil is present. This type of bottle was produced throughout the eightteenth century in Bohemia. Use of opaline glass, as in this case, is extremely rare. The bottle also has its original pewter screw on top lid. The symbolic use of a heart and two doves suggests that this bottle was a wedding present. It was made around 1750.
