Magnificent bronze sculpture with black marble base depicting Minerva. Provenance Venice, private collection. Divinity of the loyalty in fight, of the heroic virtues, of the just war (war for just causes or for defense), of the wisdom, of the strategies, and it is recognized also protectress of the artisans. The sculpture is supported by a metal pin that goes all the way into the head of the sculpture. It is solid and stable. Beautiful the patina of the metal and the anatomy of the divinity. Some details of the Goddess are evident, as the owls on the helmet (symbol of philosophy and wisdom) and the winged goat (named Pallas, from which according to the legend she would be the daughter). Lot of extreme quality, more unique than rare. Perfect as a piece of furniture. Medium in size, proportionate and appropriate weight. Is in excellent condition, intact.
