XIX France Paris / Eugène Petit (1839-1886) An antique classic oil painting on panel depicting fine flowers in a ceramic pot by renowned flower painter and textile designer Petit. An artist known for his wild flowers, fruits and sporting dogs. Signed lower right, in good condition. From a private collection, it's never been on the market and it has after a lifetime in a prestigious salon some superficial dirt. It sits in an elaborate giltwood frame that is in good condition. One piece of the decoration is missing. Dim: 47 x 40,5 x 6,5 total / panel 25 x 18,5 cm

A rare Folk Art flatfish profile oil painting on a fish shaped mahogany panel.
It has a little hole in it so it can be suspended on a kitchen or dining room wall.
This rarity might have had a practical use also in it's day but at the present it's a decorative curiosity.

It's in fair too good condition, little chips around the edges.

Boissier Paris Maître Confiserie since 1827

A rare confectionery letter or stationary box of high quality made for the famous Confectionery Master Boissier.
Typical Napoleon III period; made of cardboard, paper, dark brown leather and gilding.
With a silk inside lining and in good working order. No key.

Boissier were known for their luxurious boxes and packaging, representing their sugar works and chocolate delights in a spectacular way.

Little user wear, normal rubbing and tiny imperfections to the base back corners. Not noticeable.

A very artistic copper patinated table lamp in the shape of a beautiful siren with long hair standing on a wavy foot. Unsigned but a detailed cast and of very high quality.

In good condition. Incredible polychrome feeling because of the richly colored patina.

It is in good working order, electrification of a later date and practical.

The factory was in production untill 1942. These figures were made before 1934, the factory mark underneath was used between 1900-1934. Numbered and a real pair.

They are in very good condition.

A Nepalese gilt bronze figure of the Buddha Amitabha, seated on a lotus throne, wearing a monk's rope adorned with a scrolling lotus pattern.

Gilding and further traces of gilding on the hem and the Buddha. Bottom plate seems to be in tact.
With a beautiful serene facial expression.

A rare Morató copper melange bright enameled plaque depicting the Crucifixion.
Inspired by the XII/XIII century copper enamel plaques from Romanesque workshops in Limoges France.
Exceptional technique and craftsmanship.

Last picture comes from The Met site, in their collection this first quarter XIII century copper enamels-champlevé plaque. The inspiration for the jeweler and artist Ojer.

India Rajasthan silver pair of ‘gajre’ bracelets 254 gr

India Rajasthan mid XX century

A very near pair of heavy hinged pin silver bracelets that were handmade using a traditional technique called 'gajre' or 'goli': lots of very small silver massive balls which aren't welded to the base but attached with a silver wire that leaves them slight movement.

They are often worn in pairs or a pair on each arm by Rajasthani women.

This near pair us in good condition, normal wear and lovely silver patina. Very wearable. From a private collection.

Rare antique large Tibetan Mechag flint pouch Himalayan silver and coral

Tibet ca 1900

A rare, large Tibetan flint carrying pouch (also called a mechag or chuck muck), made of leather with repousse silver plaques, inlaid with a large turquoise and coral stones in silver holders.
Motifs of filigree, scrolling and fish. Adorned with a silver round amulet on the end of the strap.

The leather purse is made to hold a flint piece and some burnable material. The flint is struck against the iron blade, making a spark which is caught in the material. The top is fitted with brass hardware for hanging from the leather strap.

In good used condition, all original.
