Large cartel clock with matching wall shelf (123 cm)   Large late 18th C clock (123 cm) with its original wall shelf in "Martin imitation lacquer" with floral decoration on red background and attractive carved gilt bronze. Roman and Arabic numerals in black enamel on white background, the dial signed "Baudet a Paris". The movement is 19th C. Original key. Some flaking of the paint on the shelf. Perfect working condition Height: 123 cm Width: 40 cm

18th C Transition "sauteuse" commode, Grenoble

18th C Transition period "sauteuse" chest of drawers in marquetry from the Grenoble region.  Richly decorated with a bird pattern. Marble top. Gilt bronze decoration, handles and keyholes.  Although the wood, pattern of the marquetry and structure reminds one of the work of Jean Francois Hache, attribution is not certain. However we are certain that the  chest is exceptional and illustrates the talent of the best cabinet-makers of the Grenoble region.
