Important antique Italian Louis XIV chest of drawers 1680s walnut wood. The top and sides are in solid walnut wood. On the sides carved decoration of geometric taste. On the front the drawers are decorated with small pieces of different precious woods. This feature creates a unique decoration typical of that era. On the front four large and useful drawers. In the 17th century only important families could afford to have furniture of this value. This chest of drawers comes from an important and historic northern Italian family that has kept it up to the present day. The handles are in finely chiselled bronze with a small decoration.
