Brutalist XXL ceramic vase, very nice combination of glazed structures, cubist shapes and brutalist influences, contains a mix of brown, yellow, green and blue colours. Made from heavy and thick clay, unique piece, 1970' s and signed by Paul De Bruyne (Belgium 1936-2007).

Graduated at the Higher Institute Sint-Lukas in Ghent. And was a teacher at the Royal Academy and the Sint-Lukas Institute in Oudenaarde and at the Sint-Barbara College in Ghent. De Bruyne created an oeuvre as a ceramist, in which he also considered ceramics as a part of architecture and interior design. This led to the realization of works of art, utensils, ornaments and ceramic sculpture, integrated into architecture.

Rogier Vandeweghe (Ruiselede, 1923 - Bruges, 2020) was a Belgian ceramist, glass artist, calligrapher and painter.
Rogier Vandeweghe, together with his wife Myranna Pyck founded in 1952 a studio (ceramics and glass window company) in Perignem and later Sint-Andries (Bruges), where they produced exceptionally subtile glaze.
In 1960 Rogier and Myranna gave their company the name 'Amphora'.
Rogier's designs received international recognition with a second prize at the Concorso Internazionale della Ceramica in Monza (Italy) in 1960 and an award at the International Handwerkmesse in Munich in 1963. The ultimate crowning of Rogier's ceramic creations took place in 1964 with a 'Medaglia d'Oro della Presidenza del Senato' at the Concorso Internazionale della Ceramica d'Arte in Faenza. In the 1960s Amphora gained fame for its refined vases with a graceful silhouette in which Rogier Vandeweghe was able to fully indulge as an esthete.

From 1961 to 1966, Roger Bonduel taught visual art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges.

Bonduel became best known for its sculptures, furniture, and bas-reliefs.

He used nickel, copper, steel, silver, brass and bronze.

He played an important role in the revival of religious art. Known for his mastery of metal, Bonduel, who collaborated with modernist architect Paul Felix and glass artist Michel Martens, brought energy and movement to each piece he created.

The sculpture has an anthropomorphic form with influences from African art, and dates from 1971.

He has his studio in his native city and in Gordes (France). Since 1960 his work has been shown in over 300 solo and group exhibitions in Belgium and abroad, including in the United States, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Greece and Korea.

A number of monumental sculptures can be seen in different public places. The stylised shapes evoke, on the one hand, an archaic world of signs and symbols and on the other hand, a common spirit with the cultures of Africa and Oceania. In his oak sculptures, Jacky De Maeyer draws his inspiration from the organic world, stylising it into forms that are a synthesis between organic and geometric; ovals, pyramids, spheres are built up vertically in undulating or straight lines, either in a totemic symmetry or using an asymmetry that creates a harmonious tension.

This artwork signed in 1994 is a part of the series 'Plastica Pictural' and is work number 00012, each unique work of this serie was titled with a number.

This artwork depicts a non figurative person with a lot of abstract and strong drawings within the silhouet of the body, the intention of the artist is to think about the human body which is constantly in operation.

Levai Zoltan is a painter and graphicus born in Hungary in 1967, in 1989 he became a member of the Young Artists' Studio and in 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of Painting of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts.

Had a lot of exhibitions and publications worldwide. This artwork was shown at the 'Biënnale of Graphic arts' at Bruges in 1998.

Nine(9) hanging lamps , pendants , in twisted pine wood (larch wood) by Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) and edited by AB Ellysett Markaryd between 1959 and 1969.
Some in excellent , some in good condition for age.
Made of many layers of bentwood turned into a “swirl”.
These lampes have a delicate construction that it’s almost impossible to find any intact examples. When illuminated the thin wood casts a distinctly orange filtered light that reveals the wood’s natural grain , and casts a warm and beautiful glow.

Belgian multimédia artiste Marc Lampens uses two pine trunks for his works of art, which he transforms into a creative work of art. Marc Lampens takes classes in plastic arts at the art academy in Oudenaarde, and learned to work with all available materials with which an artist can get creative, such as stone, metal , bronze and wood.
